Charissa Parker, APRN, FNP-C
Charissa grew up in Oklahoma City and is proud to be a lifelong Oklahoma Sooner at heart — Boomer Sooner! She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Oklahoma in 2013 before moving to Texas to begin her nursing career. She began her nursing career in orthopedics before being accepted into Baylor Scott & White’s Emergency Medicine Nurse Residency Program. She continued working as an Emergency Medicine RN while earning her Master of Science in Nursing from Texas Woman’s University, becoming a Family Nurse Practitioner in 2018. Throughout her career as a nurse practitioner, she has had the opportunity to care for patients in a variety of specialties, including general neurology, non-operative pain management, renal transplant, and dialysis. These experiences have allowed her to develop a broad clinical perspective while deepening her passion for helping patients manage pain and improve their quality of life. She is excited to return to her roots in pain management, where she can provide compassionate, personalized care focused on helping patients get back to the activities and life they enjoy. Outside of the office, she enjoys kayaking, books clubs, spending time with friends, traveling, and visiting dog parks with her family.
